Best known for his work in experimental physics and mathematics, Newton's greatest labours were in fact dedicated to subjects apparently far removed from science – alchemy and biblical prophecy. This study day provides insight into Newton's life and character, his influence on 18th and 19th century science, and the personal convictions that drove his unorthodox researches.
