We shall read and discuss the drama, Romantic poetry and traditional ballads which excited the creative talents of the Brotherhood and resulted in the much-loved paintings from the Victorian era. In turn, their themes influenced the twentieth century authors with whose novels we shall conclude. The creative artists covered will range from the Rossettis to John Waterhouse, whilst later works will include John Fowles' 'The French Lieutenant's Woman'.
