Despite increased social mobility, regional accents and dialects still remain powerful markers of our identity. We look at the fascinating varieties of English, as revealed through its pronunciation, words and grammar, and discuss notions such as language change, slang and Standard English. We will also invite you to participate by exploring your own dialect and accent.
