Reading Branch wins WEA National Award

WEA Reading Branch was presented with the Impact in Your Community Award at a recent ceremony in London. The Award is given by the WEA and supported by the Open University.

The Branch was recognised as one of the biggest volunteer-run Branches in the WEA, running around 50 courses and study days a year, resulting in up to 1,000 bookings. The Branch is the main provider of cultural education in Reading.

The citation said: ‘This is truly WEA Branch provision at its best’.
