Michela Bariselli

Michela has recently finished her PhD in Philosophy at the University of Reading. Since the early stage of her studies in Philosophy at the University of Milan, she has been passionate about the intersection of philosophy and literature, the power of rhetoric, the knowledge one can acquire from literature, as well as its ethical aspects. This interest led Michela to focus her research in the areas of philosophy of literature, of language and of humour. She is also an expert on Samuel Beckett’s works and her PhD thesis explored the philosophical and literary features of Beckett’s humour. Furthermore Michela is interested in Continental philosophy, Feminist philosophy and non-Western philosophy, which she has taught at the University of Reading and at the University of Southampton.
